Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology Symposium 2026: Paving the Way for a Future Society with SAF
Purpose of the Symposium
As the world works toward achieving carbon neutrality, expectations for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in air transportation are rising globally. Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology is promoting initiatives related to SAF through the “Project to Strengthen Regional Core and Distinctive Research Universities (J-PEAKS)” and the “Open Platform for International Environmental Certification and New Feedstock Development for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF-OP).”Building on these efforts, this symposium will feature presentations by experts and stakeholders from a wide range of fields, covering topics from the latest trends in R&D on SAF feedstocks and production technologies to initiatives in policy and industry aimed at societal implementation. The symposium aims to deepen understanding of the challenges and future prospects for the widespread adoption of SAF through these presentations, thereby fostering further collaboration among industry, academia, and government.
